4. Send them their app access
Your client doesn't have to sign up anywhere or hunt for anything in an app store. When you create them, TrainerStudio generates a personal access link, and that link takes them straight into their app, already logged in.
Step by step
- In Customers, hover over your client's Pending invitation tag and click Copy access link. It's also always available under Options → View access link → Copy to clipboard.
- Paste it into WhatsApp or wherever you usually talk. A message that works well:
Hi Anna! Your app is ready 💪 Tap here to see your workouts: [paste the link]. Once it opens, add it to your phone's home screen.
- When they tap it, your client lands in their app. The first time, they'll see Complete your account: their email (if you didn't add it) and a password. It's a one-time step.
- Have them add it to their home screen:
- iPhone, in Safari: Share button → Add to Home Screen.
- Android, in Chrome: ⋮ menu → Install app.
Once installed, it opens full screen with your logo, and notifications come through.
As soon as your client logs in, the Pending invitation tag disappears and you start seeing their completion percentage.
FAQ
Does the link expire? No. Your client can save it and come back in as often as they like.
Can I send the same link to several clients? No. Each link opens one specific client's account: whoever uses it gets in as that person. Every client needs their own.
I sent it to the wrong person. Go to Options → View access link and click Regenerate link: the old one stops working instantly. Then send the new one to your client.
It doesn't work for my client, or they don't see the install option. Most of the time they opened it inside Instagram, WhatsApp or TikTok, or the link got cut off. Have them copy the full link and paste it into Safari (iPhone) or Chrome (Android).
What about the App Store or Google Play app? They can also search for "TrainerStudio" in their app store. Inside, it's the same app, but it carries the TrainerStudio name and icon, and they log in with the email and password they set up in Complete your account.
My client signed up in the coach app. That app is for you. Your client doesn't need to create any account: they just get in with their access link.
