How to let your clients create their own workouts?
You can give your clients the freedom to create and log their own workouts from the app. The options appear inside the usual workout view, without a separate editor.
The permission only applies to workouts the client creates themselves. They cannot modify or delete the ones you have programmed for them.
How to turn it on
In the coach app, go to Settings → Client app and look for Exercise marks.
Select Always. The Customer-created workouts selector appears below.
Choose Create and modify and save the changes.
The selector only appears when Exercise marks is set to Always, because the client needs to be able to add sets and variables to the exercises they choose.
How the client creates their workout
When they open a day without a workout, the client can press Add block. If the day already has content, they can add their own block alongside the programmed workout.
- Add, reorder and remove their own blocks.
- Search for exercises in your library and in the public library.
- Add, reorder and remove exercises inside those blocks.
- Create circuits and group exercises into supersets.
- Add exercises inside their circuits and supersets.
The blocks you have programmed stay protected: the client can complete them and log their results, but cannot change their structure.
How they configure the sets
When they open one of the exercises they have added, the client goes to its usual detail view and presses Sets. From the table they can:
- Add or remove sets.
- Freely choose the table's variables, such as reps, load, time, distance, RIR, RPE, pace, tempo or rest.
- Change the available units for each variable.
- Enter a different value in each set.
No personal comments are added to the exercise: the configuration focuses on the structure of the workout and its sets.
What you see
The workout appears in the client's calendar. You can open it to look at its blocks, exercises, sets and results.
Their logged results are also included in the exercise history and in the corresponding statistics.
If you turn off the permission
If you choose Disabled in the selector or change Exercise marks to Enabled or Disabled:
- The client can no longer create, modify or delete their own workouts.
- Previous workouts and results remain visible.
- The workouts you have programmed for them keep working as always.
How to let your clients swap an exercise?
Give your clients the option to swap an exercise for an alternative you approve. You define the list, they choose during the workout and your programming stays intact.
Nutrition
Give each client their diet from their profile: by writing it as text, uploading a PDF or with advanced nutrition (day-by-day plans with recipes, ingredients and macros).
