8. Create your own exercises

The TrainerStudio library has over a thousand exercises with video, but you've surely got your own, explained your way.

Step by step

  1. Go to Library → Exercises → My Exercises and click Create.

  2. Type the Name. It's the only required field.

  3. Write the Instructions your client will see when they open the exercise, and add Tags (type and press Enter) so you can find it later.

  4. Under Media, click Add videos and photos and choose:

    • Upload video or Upload image from your computer or phone;
    • YouTube/Vimeo link;
    • External link to a guide or article.

    The first image or YouTube thumbnail becomes the cover.

  5. Classification and Workload control are optional. When the footer says Ready to save, click Save exercise.

The exercise shows up in My Exercises, ready to use with any client.

Without leaving the plan

If you're programming and can't find an exercise, click Create exercise in the search (at the bottom, under "Can't find the exercise you're looking for?"). When you save it, you go straight back to the workout.

FAQ

I can't upload my video. Try a shorter video, or upload it to YouTube (it can be unlisted) and paste the link: it looks just as good in your client's app.

Can an uploaded video be the cover? No. The cover is an image, a GIF or a YouTube video's thumbnail.

Do I have to create all my exercises before I start? No. Use the library and create your own as you need them.
