7. Metrics and progress
The metrics system lets you track your clients' progress in detail. Record weight, body measurements, composition, and any other measurement you need, with a complete history and progress charts.
What metric sets are
A metric set is a logical grouping of related measurements. For example:
- "Body Composition": Weight, Body Fat, Muscle Mass
- "Body Measurements": Waist, Hips, Arm, Chest
- "Performance": VO2 Max, Resting Heart Rate
Each set belongs to your company and can be assigned to one or more clients.
Creating a metric set
- Go to Library → Metric Sets
- Click Create New Set
- Enter the name of the set (e.g., "Body Composition")
- Enable "Automatically assign to new clients" if you want all new clients to have it
- Add the metrics you want to include:
- Name: Weight, Body Fat, etc.
- Unit: kg, %, cm, etc.
- Save the set
Assigning sets to clients
Automatic assignment
If you enable this option when creating the set, all new clients will have it automatically.
Manual assignment
- Go to the client's profile → Metrics section
- Click Assign Set
- Select the set you want to assign
- The client can now start recording values
Recording values
As a trainer
- Go to the client's profile → Metrics section
- Select the metric you want to update
- Click Add Value
- Enter the date and the value
- Save
As a client
Clients can record their own values from their app:
- From Progress: Select the set → metric → Add Entry
- From Routine: If you include metrics in the day's routine, a form appears with all the metrics in the set
Viewing progress
Each metric has its own view with:
- Progress chart: Visualize the trend over time
- Value list: All records sorted by date
- Statistics: Initial, current, maximum, and minimum values
Available filters
- Last 7 days
- Last 3 months
- Last year
- Full history
Editing existing sets
You can modify your sets at any time:
- Change the name of the set
- Add new metrics: They are automatically added to all clients who have the set
- Edit existing metrics: Change name or unit
- Delete metrics: They are archived but the history is preserved
Unassigning and archiving
Unassigning a set
If you unassign a set from a client:
- The history is fully preserved
- The client can still view their previous records
- They cannot add new values
- If you reassign it, all their history is restored
Archiving a set
If you archive an entire set:
- Clients lose access to the set
- The history is preserved
- It is not automatically assigned to new clients
- You can restore it at any time
Including metrics in routines
You can add a metrics block in the routine planner to remind the client to record their measurements that day.
- In the planner, add a Metrics block
- Select the set you want the client to fill in
- The client will see the form in their day's routine
When the client completes all metrics in the set, the item is automatically marked as completed.
Usage tips
- Create specific sets based on the client's goal (weight loss, muscle gain, etc.)
- Schedule reminders by including metrics in routines
- Review the charts regularly to adjust the plan if needed
- Use filters to analyze short and long-term trends
