Complete your public profile
Your public profile appears in the TrainerStudio trainer directory and is indexed on Google. Anyone searching for a personal trainer can find you for free, without needing to build your own website.
Where to set it up
Go to Settings > Public Profile in the side menu.
Basic information
- Profile photo: upload a professional photo. It's the first thing clients will see in the directory. Recommendation: headshot, good lighting, neutral background.
- First and last name: appear in the directory and on your profile page.
- Bio: a short sentence summarizing who you are as a trainer (e.g., "Personal trainer specializing in strength and sports nutrition").
- Description: longer text where you can detail your experience, methodology, and the types of clients you work with.
Contact information
- Instagram: your Instagram profile so clients can follow you.
- Email: professional contact email so clients can reach you.
Certifications and specialties
Add your official certifications and specialties so clients can learn about your qualifications.
- Type the name of the certification or specialty and press Enter to add it.
- You can add up to 5 certifications and 5 specialties.
Certification examples: NSCA-CPT, CSCS, Kinesiology Degree, Master's in Sports Nutrition.
Specialty examples: Fat loss, Strength, Rehabilitation, Training for older adults, Athletic performance.
Save and view your profile
Click Save Profile at the top of the page. Once saved, use the View my public profile button to see how your profile appears in the directory.
Why it matters
A complete profile:
- Makes you visible on Google to new clients searching for a personal trainer.
- Builds trust and conveys professionalism.
- Sets your service apart from generic apps with no trainer behind them.
- Is completely free — no website or paid advertising needed.
It doesn't need to be perfect from day one. You can update it whenever you like from Settings > Public Profile.
